• - Gladio suggests going for a run first thing in the morning.


• - The stakes are that Sorrel has to train with Gladio every day if he loses

• - They seem to be on a camping trip of some sort?


• Sorrel definitely could have won that race. Did he let Gladio win?

• - Awww these two are pretty good friends, right? :)


• - Kind of setting the stage for who Sorrel is as a person. He doesn't look down on other people.

• Sorrel getting to know one of the other two dudes from Gladio's memory a little better! Sadly there are still no names, but it's fine.

• This crystal is a big deal because it's supposed to purge darkness from their star.

• - Once again it's noted that Sorrel is royalty!


• - He has nooooo idea how McFucked this is all going to get in 12 years :)

Summary

• - The air is cold, a harsh wind blowing through a train.


• -Absinthe is there, speaking. Noctis is angry at him, though he doesn't understand why.


• - Gentiana appears and touches Absinthe while he speaks, freezing him solid.


• - Gentiana explains to Noctis that she promised the Oracle (Luna/Glacies) that she would forge a covenant with him.


• - Gentiana (now taking her true form as Shiva) explains more about the gods: specifically about her and Ifrit.


• - Shiva explains Lunafreya's thoughts to Noctis.


• - Shiva grants Noctis her blessing.


• - Flashes of memories appear, overwhelming Noctis


• - A vision of Lunafreya appears and then quickly disappears and Noctis promises they will be together again someday.

• - I thought about editing out some things but tbh the history about the Gods is some important stuff


• - I couldn't find a clip of this patched version of Shiva's covenant with the bits about Prompto put in! Oh well, he's still mad at you for some reason, Absinthe.

• - He is aware now that Luna is dead and that he loves her and that she clearly loved him.

Summary

• Noctis, Gladio, and the two unnamed guys tagging along with them enter a temple.
  
• They're there to meet someone, called "Marshal". This could be a title or a name?
  
• "Marshal" explains to Noctis why they're there and about the "Bonding of Kings" or whatever that is.
  
• Noctis is less than enthusiastic about it and even angrily criticizes his father's actions.
  
• He becomes emotional, asking why his father lied to him and sent him away to protect him from Insomnia's fall.
  
• He realizes he has no choice but to take on the Power of Kings.

Commentary

• Isn't it neat? He absorbed a sword!
  
• More tissues needed. This game is fucking sad.
  
• This is one of my favorite scenes in the game because even Noctis acknowledges his father's reasons were a bit flawed and maybe selfish.

Effects

• Noctis learning a bit more about his role as the Chosen King, and generally a King of Lucis as a whole.
  
• Noctis is super mad at his dad now. Sorry King Regis :c

• He was also barely conscious until Luna gives him the power of the Kings of Lucis to fight Leviathan

• Memory also ends before Noctis wakes up and sees Ignis is hurt

Summary

• Memory starts with Noctis getting smacked down by the Hydrean, Leviathan
  
• Noctis is barely conscious as Luna and Ardyn have their chat up until she grants him the power of the Kings of Lucis to go in for Round 2
  
• Noctis smacks down the Hydrean and both he and Luna have collapsed on the rubble.
  
• Luna heals his injuries and dies
  
• Noctis has a dream of himself and Luna
